You may find, after a while, that you have so many tiles that you can窶冲 find the ones you want in all the clutter. Or you may wish to take your own set of tiles with you on removable media, for use on other people窶冱 Macs. You can solve these problems by making working sets.

Working sets contain your preference choices, and a list of remembered tiles. Each working set is stored in a Tilery Preference file. When you open a preference file, your current set of tiles will vanish, and be replaced by the tiles listed in the newly-opened file.

The default preference file is kept in the system Preferences folder. You can make new preference files and put them wherever you like.

窶｢ Choose New窶ｦ from the File menu to create a new preference file. All of your current preferences settings will be copied to the new file, and you can choose whether or not the new file will also include all your current remembered tiles. The Tilery will immediately begin using the new file.

There are several ways to change which preference file you are using:

窶｢ Choose Open窶ｦ from the File menu and select a preference file, or:

窶｢ Double-click a preference file in  a Finder window, or:

窶｢ Make a tile for a preference file, and click it when you want to change to it.

One good way to use working sets is to make separate preference files for each kind of work you do: one for business, one for Internet surfing, one for finances, one for games (okay, so that one窶冱 not work!). In each set, include tiles for all of your other preference files so you can switch among them easily.

Note: Any changes you make to your tiles or your preferences will be saved only in the current working set. Your other working sets are not affected by the change.
